New Student Enrollment Process 2024-2025

Registration appointments begin July 1 for the upcoming school year. Please follow the instructions below to register your child.

• Complete Enrollment Paperwork
  • Packets can be picked up at GHS main entrance, or we can email to you.
  • You will receive a list of electives and an Academic & Career Plan – please have your child complete these and return with enrollment paperwork.
• Contact GHS Counseling Center to schedule an enrollment appointment once paperwork has been completed and all necessary documentation gathered
  • Call Mrs. Meadows at 540-562-3900 extension 21010
  • Appointment scheduling begins July 1
• Enrollment Appointment
  • Bring completed enrollment packet, proof of residency paperwork (or residency validation paperwork), original birth certificate, and unofficial transcript from previous school (optional).
    • Address/Domicile Validation
      • Choose “My family resides with another Roanoke County homeowner” if the custodial parent is not listed on the lease or mortgage.
        • The person listed on that paperwork will need to complete the Verification of Address/Domicile paperwork with a Notary Public and come in to present their drivers license to sign the form in the presence of school staff.
      • Choose “My family does not reside with another Roanoke County homeowner” if the custodial parent is listed on the lease or mortgage of the residence.
        • You will need to bring a CURRENT lease, mortgage statement, or real estate tax assessment.
      • Meet with a Counselor to discuss scheduling
        • This is done at GHS with the student and parent/guardian.

 

 

• • Additional student information will need to be completed online through Synergy ParentVue before school begins.
