Upcoming Dates

·         March 11th—Cap and Gown Delivery.  Jostens will be on campus to distribute cap/gown during all three lunches. Please email Ms. Stone if your student will not be able to attend. Online students may either come in during those times or reach out to Ms. Stone to have it placed in the office for pick up.

·         March 11th—Honor Tassels. If your student will graduate with a 3.5 gpa or higher, they qualify as an honor grad. Those students will wear a solid gold tassel on their caps, while the other seniors will wear green and gold. Honor grads can either pay $5 and keep both tassels, or do an even swap. We will begin that process when their caps and gowns are delivered. Please send your student with $5 cash if they plan to keep both tassels. *Just as a reminder, cords and stoles are handled by the individual clubs and classes that the county recognizes. No other adornments may be worn on the day of graduation.

·         March 20^th—Final Slide Submission Deadline. Final date to submit or make changes to the graduation presentation (more details in the next section under “New”).

·         March 22nd—Cap and Gown photos at GHS.  The company will be set up in the auxiliary gym. Students will come down during their government or English classes. If your student does not have either class here in the building, they may come at any time during the scheduled block. The company provides the cap and gown ensemble, so all your student needs to do is dress for the photo. Young men, please wear a collared shirt and tie, and young ladies, something that does not show at the collar. *There will not be a makeup opportunity for these photos.

·         April 8^th—Senior Graduation Meeting. This is a meeting to cover all of the details your senior needs to know moving into the final few weeks of school. We will be meeting in the auditorium at 10 AM. If your senior isn’t able to attend, please have them see Mrs. Nichols or Ms. Stone in person.

·         April 22nd—Cap and Gown photos at GHS.  The company will be set up in the auxiliary gym (times are TBD). Students will come down during their government or English classes. ·         May 19^th—Awards Assembly. Seniors will be awarded with school-based awards, community accolades, and scholarships. This is a whole school event, so seating is limited to parents of those receiving an award. The counseling department will be reaching out to families to make arrangements to attend. Any questions can be directed to Kelley McCall.

·         May 26^th—Graduation Practice. All students planning on walking in the graduation ceremony must attend practice in the stadium at 10:30 am. Please see Ms. Stone if you do not plan to walk.

·         May 27^th—Graduation. All seniors will report to the cafeteria (this is new) at 6PM, dressed and ready to go. The ceremony starts promptly at 7PM. There are details in the next section.

·         This year, we will be including a link/QR code in the program. This link/QR code will allow you to view all graduates, their plans after graduation, and a few accomplishments they achieved throughout their time here at Glenvar. Please complete the form below so that we can include the correct information for your graduate. If you have multiple graduates, please complete a separate form for each graduate.
